Love it
Great machine. Wish battery life was a little longer for deep cleaning. Also would hope it skip room blockage and continue onto next room rather than just completely docking.
This Dreame robot vacuum is absolutely amazing. Incredibly easy to set up and get going. Great quality, well made, and super functional for carpet and hard floors. It vacuums, and mops with ease and navigates around the room with ease. It will auto detect carpet which enhances cleaning for that surface. It makes the most perfect lines in the carpet as seen in the pictures. This thing even empties itself into the base that can hold up to a couple of months before having to empty it out. The base also holds water and detergent that will auto fill the vacuum when needed. The mapping technology works flawlessly and avoids obstacles. There is so many features and options it will take me some time to get through everything. But so far this is the best robot vacuum that I have used. Tremendous value for the money while the price seems a little high compared to others this one out performs them all my many times. I have had no issues with battery life of the robot vacuum part. Love that it just auto docks itself to charge and empty what it has picked up. Have nothing but great things to say about this product!
I get my time back. The product has been great!
The L40 is pretty close to perfect for our home. It does a good job on hard flooring and carpets, and the software is very usable, allowing you to map your home layout so you can specify where to clean.
We got our L40 to replace our new Roborock Qrevo Master, which we tried for a month. We exchanged for the L40 because the Roborock didn't clean up dog hair well, leaving clumps of hair on the carpets. The L40 vacuums the rugs much better, probably because it parks the mops while vacuuming). It also mops hard flooring as well as the Roborock. I also appreciate that it dispenses the mop soap into the clean water automatically.
However, the L40 is definitely slower to clean than the Roborock was. It might be because the L40 navigates strangely, pausing and spinning in place at random times and spots. I've also never had the L40 respond to my voice commands or even confirm it heard me. I haven't tried linking the L40 to our Amazon Echo, so can't speak to how that works. It also gets louder at seemingly random times.
What surprises me is how alike the Roborock and the L40 are, including their software. I know they have the same parent company, but what's the point of having two almost-identical devices competing with each other?
