Got this thing in my search to supplement my old corded dyson with a cordless option for smaller jobs and harder to reach places. The unit does have a nice premium look to it with the black-grey-gold color scheme and decent quality plastic, and even the cover for the bag compartment on the base is magnetic instead of a plastic clamp.Suction is not bad for a cordless, especially since this thing is quite light, but certainly requires more passes over carpet to get it as clean as that corded dyson would with 1 pass. On hardwood it performs quite well though, and unlike with the harder brush on they dyson, I am not worried about damage to hardwood with this one, though it does seem to randomly struggle with picking up small objects sometimes for some reason. The light on the brush and particle counter on screen also make for a nice visualization of how dirty a given area is and how many more passes you need, though it does not seem like the particle count is very accurate from my limited un-scientific tests at least. Still nice to have though and at least makes vacuuming a bit more fun.The attachments are all reasonably well made and functional for their designed task. Special mention to the flexible hose tool, that thing is very useful around the car and furniture. I do wish the tool holder was a bit better designed though, as this one is the flimsiest looking piece of plastic in the whole set and takes up a lot of floor space with no mounting options. All that said, there are some issues I did not expect to see at this price point:I found the battery life a bit underwhelming, as the only way you will get close to the advertised over an hour of runtime is on minimal power the whole time, which will not be a particularly great clean, and if you have some carpeted rooms, good luck getting through more than 2 large rooms before needing to recharge unless you vacuum daily and can get away with a minimal power pass the whole way through. Since I am only using it as a secondary unit at the moment it is ok for my use case, but a better battery, or a second one that you can swap to that recharges from the stand would have been nice at this price point. If your home has very little to no carpet or is just very small this might not be an issue, but with larger areas and more carpet this could get annoying.Same story with the bag and (non washable) filter in the dock: the unit comes with one replacement bag (that they expect you to replace within months) and no replacement filters... Seriously? I would expect this kind of cheap out from a ~$100 unit, but not something about 10x that! And as of me writing this, I can not even find the replacements for sale on amazon. Cheap vacs get you with filter replacements, premium units hit you with an upfront cost... and these guys seem to have decided to do BOTH.So far I have resorted to manually pre-emptying the bin myself to extend the service life of the bag despite it being a lot more messy. Will update review and up a star if the replacements are reasonably priced, but currently even a 4 is being generous in my opinion given their asking price and all the uncertainty.Overall not a bad unit on it's own, but with some surprising cheap-outs for how much they are charging. Would recommend on sale and when replacement bags/filters are available (and after seeing how much they cost). Till then I would recommend to think well before buying.
DREAME Z20 Station Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner is definitely a grade above the standard stick vacuums.Superior Features:- Suction and cleaning performance - grabs even the lightest of dust- Mobility- Auto empty into the standing bin (works flawlessly!)- Agile, flexible design- Ample illumination to spot areas that attention- Well-made accessory attachments for cleaning crevices, keyboards, surfaces, stairs etc.- Battery charge remains strong for over an hour, allowing you to clean several rooms or a large area without the power draining. The construction and design are impressive. The attachable tools rotate and extend, making it super easy to clean small spaces, tight corners, under and over areas etc. There is a dashboard display that is easy to understand. And I like the small tray that is included to keep the accessories organized. For your consideration:(1) The handheld piece is very heavy, weighing approximately 5 lbs according to my scale. I found it to be too heavy for longer cleaning sessions (fine for short clean- ups).(2) For stand up vacuuming, the height is not ideal for tall people (a little on the short side).(3) This vacuum is an investment so its important to know that you can get replacement bags for the bin. I visited the Dreame store on Amazon and found only a replacement battery under the "Cordless Vacuum Accessories" category. I hope they add their replaceable dust bag.The performance of this vacuum far exceeds the two other cordless stick vacuums that I've owned and operated. This one is more powerful and effective. That said, I don't like the weight of the hand vac. Too burdensome.Overall, the quality is top notch and the value is good.
Dream Z20 is impressive. Let's start first with the box's exterior. It is absolutely fabulous--- it is so informative with great visuals of all the features. The main three units consist of a dust removal hub, the vacuum body, and an extension rod. There are some interesting attachments as well. The attachments are mounted on an attachment stand for storage. The illuminating Omni-brush roller brush that has a blue LED light in the front and makes finding dust and dirt quite easy. I absolutely LOVE this feature!! Also on the bottom of the brush there are two small front wheels and one larger wheel in the back, which help it maneuver well on rugs, tiles and wooden floors. I am able to attach the brush to the extension rod then the extension rod to the vacuum's body and place all 3 parts onto the dust removal hub for storage. The second attachment is a small mini brush attachment that is powerful because it is motorized and intended for sofas, chairs and for car interiors. it also does a great job on the stairs! There is another separate attachment--a flexible adaptor which not only extends the mini roller brush but is flexible and helps it bend around corners. I am able to attach this mini tool directly to the vacuum's body to do the stairs or the car interior. I keep both the mini brush and the black flexible adaptor together and store them in the attachment stand. There are instructions in the manual on how to clean both Omni-brush and the mini brushes when they get dirty. The extension rod attaches easily to these brushes roller by aligning the pins and then attaching the extension rod to the main vacuum body again, remembering to again align the pins. You will know if the connection is not correct because the roller will not turn and the light will not go on; in such a case, just unsnap and realign. The third attachment is a retractable brush/corner combination attachment that is so clever. It is two attachments in one-- a brush attachment and a corner attachment. Also it can be store perfectly in the attachment standThe main vacuum body comes with a rechargeable lithium battery pack which is stated to last up to 90 minutes, but realistically, the power level used will determine the life of the charge. To recharge the battery I attach the entire vacuum body with the attached battery to the dust collecting hub. The battery recharges in about 3.5 hours. There are 3 speed modes: lower speed "eco" (symbol-a leaf) and with almost 90 minutes of vacuuming time, medium speed "auto" (symbol "A" with a circle) and fastest speed "turbo" (symbol a fan) which will give you around 35 minutes of vacuuming time. The dust removal hub is so interesting. This tall and and somewhat awkward hub must be located near to an electric power source so that the power cord is able to charge the battery. This is where the vacuum cleaner dust collecting button is located. Once you press the button it will discharge all the dust and dirt right from the vacuum body's dust tank directly into a dust collecting bag in the hub. You don't need to empty your dust tank into the trash can. You don't have to touch it or breathe all that dust. As a person who is allergic to dust, I love this because since empting the dust tank from my previous vacuum cleaner would set off numerous sneezing fits. Now I only have to remove the full vacuum dust bag and throw it in the trash, replacing the bag with a new one (they included an extra bag). This hub is also the location of the air outlet filter and it's easy to accessThe main vacuum body I left for last is a bit heavier than I expected. I discovered that I need to vacuum shorter spans because over time my wrist starts to get sore due to the weight. Over time I hope my wrist will adjust to the new weight. Since the battery is located here, it probably accounts for the extra weight, The display screen panel is alsolocated here and it has a power button to turn the vacuum on and off, and a switch to select the suction speed, and a battery status indicator. It is where the vacuum dust tank is located which is easy to open/close. I store this vacuum body directly on the dust removal hubThe included manual is not awful, but it could be more detailed. I give it a solid "B".Additional comments which might be helpful:First to get to the dust bag you need to remove the magnetic panel off the dust cabinet but the magnet is strong and it is so flush I could not figure how to remove it at first. Finally I grabbed it the correct way and it opened. Once you know the location it is easy. I do appreciate the strong magnet and the flush mounting. I found it easier to grab the panel from the top versus the side.Second, the extension hose appears on the Amazon site and the manual as clear but it actually looks black. It was confusing at first because I thought I was missing a part. After close examination with the diagram in the back of the manual I realized that this was the correct exten...
I ordered the Dreame Z20 because I wanted a powerful yet low-maintenance vacuum, and it has absolutely delivered. The suction power is fantastic—it easily picks up dirt, pet hair, and debris from both hard floors and carpets. The dust reveal brush is a great touch, making it easier to see and clean hidden dirt. The self-emptying docking station base is one of my favorite features. With the push of a button, all the dust and debris get sucked into a bag, so I don’t have to deal with messy emptying. It’s such a time-saver and keeps everything cleaner. The battery life is impressive as well—I can vacuum my entire home without worrying about it running out of charge.I also appreciate how lightweight it is, making it easy to use on stairs and in tight spaces. The included attachments are useful for detailed cleaning, and the whole system feels very well-designed. After using it for a while, I can say this is the best cordless stick vacuum I’ve owned. Definitely worth it!
This Dreame Z20 cordless stick vacuum has been a great upgrade from my old corded vacuum. It's lightweight and easy to maneuver, which makes cleaning my house a breeze. The suction is impressive, and it picks up dirt and debris with ease on both hardwood floors and carpets. I also love the dust removal hub, which automatically empties the dustbin and keeps my hands clean. The battery life is decent, and I can easily clean my whole house on a single charge. The smart detection feature is also helpful, as it automatically adjusts the suction power based on the type of floor I'm cleaning. The only downsides are the price, which is a bit steep, and the dustbin, which is a bit small. But overall, I'm very happy with this vacuum. It's powerful, convenient, and makes cleaning my house much easier.
